Northwood lose narrowly at home in final pre-season game

The Woods had an excellent work-out in this afternoon's pre-season friendly against Hendon of Isthmian League South Central at The Skyline Roofing Stadium, eventually slipping to a single-goal defeat.
The Greens, now managed by former Northwood boss Ben Bukowski, provided good quality opposition aheda of next week's FA Cup tie against Egham Town. And it was ex-Woods favourite Niko Muir who decided the game when he netted on 67 minutes.

Good work-out for Woods in the first home friendly

Having started their pre-season fixtures with a win at step 6 Hillingdon Borough last weekend, Northwood stepped it up up somewhat when they took on National League Wealdstone on Saturday afternoon at The Skyline Roofing Stadium.
Wealdstone did run out 4-1 winners on a very hot day, with both sides making full use of the substitutes' bench, and it was an excellent work-out for Jack and JJ's squad, Dylan Kearney thrashing home a first half penalty for the Woods after Osa Otote was tripped. The match report and photos are here.
Tonight's game against Harrow Borough at Rectory Park didn't go to plan, as the Woods went down 0-5; Alan Evans' match report and photos by James Brown are here.

Reece, Kush and Nasir check-in at The Skyline Roofing Stadium

Northwood’s managers Jon-Jo Bates and Jack Smith have added three more players to their squad for the 2025-26 Southern League campaign!
Experienced winger Reece Price-Placid last played for Lancing, but the well-travelled 29 year old was previously a member of the Whitehawk squad that won Step 4 promotion in 2023 before injuries restricted appearances over the last couple of years.
The 21 year old striker Kush Lewis-Thomas has bags of pace and lots of creativity; when playing for Langley back in 2023, he scored over 20 goals. Kush can play up front or on the left side of attack.
19-year-old full-back Nasir Sharifi rose through the Under 18s and Under 23s at Harrow Borough over the last few years, before making a handful of first team appearances in April 2025.
We welcome all three players to The Skyline Roofing Stadium!
