STEVE HALE
(November 2010 - March 2011)

Former Woods striker Steve was appointed first team manager in November 2010, but left the club in March 2011.
Of his 17 matches in charge, Northwood won five, drawing once, with 11 defeats.


MARK BARNHAM
(March - November 2010)

Having previously been reserve manager, assistant manager and caretaker-manager, Mark stepped into the Woods' hot seat in March 2010, but stepped down in November that year.

 

DAVE ANDERSON
(December 2008 - 1 March 2010)

Dave took the job as Woods manager in December 2008, with Mark Barnham as his Assistant.
In Dave Anderson's time in charge, Northwood won 35 of their 66 games in league and cups, drawing sixteen and losing just fifteen. 110 goals were scored, with 75 conceded.





COLIN PAYNE
(September 2005 - November 2008)

Colin was appointed Woods manager in September 2005. His first game was a Southern League fixture at Yate, which was lost 0-1, the final one also a single-goal defeat, at Witham Town. His coach was Fred Cummings.

He was the fourth-longest serving Northwood manager after Pat Coburn, Tony Choules and Alan Merison.



MICK HARVEY
(August 2004 - August 2005)

Mick's first game in charge was at Windsor & Eton (Isthmian League (lost 0-1), the last a 2-0 defeat at Grantham Town in the Southern League. His assistants were Del Deanus, Remi Bignall, Terry Back and Keith Scott.


 



TONY CHOULES
(November 1997 - May 2004)

Tony's first game was at Hendon in the Middlesex Senior Cup (Lost 1-3), and his final match in charge was at home to Billericay Town (Isthmian League) - Lost 4-5.

His full record in league and cup was: Played 391 Won 200 Drew 68 Lost 123 For 818 Against 619

His assistants were Bob Webster, Gerry Henry and Gary Farrell.

 



STEVE EMMANUEL
(January 1996 - October 1997)

The first game in charge for Steve was a 7-1 home win over Hornchurch, and the last one was at Hungerford Town (Isthmian League) - Won 3-1.

His full record in league and cup games was: Played 85 Won 47 Drew 17 Lost 21 For 149 Against 114

His assistants were Terry Benning and John Toogood.


 

JOHN WALSH
(August 1994 - November 1995)
 

His first game as Woods manager was a 3-2 win at home to Canvey Island (Isthmian League), and the final one at Wingate & Finchley (Isthmian League) - Lost 0-2.

His assistants were: John Downey and John Smith.





ALAN MERISON
(August 1988 - May 1994; December 1995 - January 1996; October 1997)

Alan's first game in charge was at Southgate (Spartan League) - Won 3-2, and the last was against Staines at Harrow Borough in the Middlesex Charity Cup Final, which was lost 0-4. He later had two spells as Northwood Caretaker Manager.

His assistants were: Garry Bree, Marcel Pinto and John Toogood.


STEVE REVELL
(1987-88)

Steve took up the managerial reins at Northwood after John Powell moved on.

 

 



JOHN POWELL
(1986-87)

John became player-manager following the departure of Pete Moran during the 86-87 season, and he was assisted by Steve Revell.


 

 

PETE MORAN
(1985-87)

Former Ruislip Manor, Harefield United and Bromley Park Rangers manager Pete, who had a spell at Woods three years earlier coaching under Pat Coburn, had about eighteen months in charge.





PAT COBURN
(1976-77 to 1984-85)

Paddy's first game was a 1-1 draw at Rayners Lane in a Middlesex League game in August 1976, and he guided Woods to two league titles, one runners-up, and four cup successes during his eight years in charge.


TONY SAUNDERS
(April - June 1976)

He had just a short spell as Woods manager, covering less than a dozen games.



PAT MADIGAN
(July 1975 - March 1976)

Former Northwood player Pat started his Woods management career with a 7-3 win at North Greenford on the opening day. He resigned after the 1-1 draw with Bedfont in March.




PAUL BYRNE
(November 1974 - June 1975)

Paul took over mid-season as player-manager, taking Woods to their first ever Middlesex League Cup success which they gained by beating the all-conquering Yeading side.




JOHN MYERS
(August 1973 - November 1974)

He managed the Woods for a little over a season before resigning during November 1974.

 

PAT BYRNE
(1971-73)

Pat was Northwood's first manager, guiding the side through their second and third Middlesex League seasons.
