Just two days after the tough day in the sun against National League side Wealdstone, the Woods joined Harrow Borough at the neutral venue of Rectory Park for their next pre-season warm-up game.
Harrow have recently appointed former Woods midfielder Wayne Carter as their new manager, moving over from a successful spell in charge of Harefield United, while former Harrow boss Dennis Quigley returned to Northwood as Assistant Manager so both sides had a host of familiar players.
Northwood started the match with many of those that played the second half at the weekend but also had several missing on the night including goalkeeper Hafed Al-Droubi and Harry McKenna, both having picked up knocks on Saturday.
The first half proved a combative affair. Carl Stewart controlled things in midfield but chances were few and far between for the Woods; triallist D having a couple of efforts from free-kicks which failed to hit the target and another shot comfortably dealt with by Tom Clark in goal.
The Borough looked more likely to score but triallist B impressed with a couple of good tackles and chances were restricted to a couple of efforts that went wide until almost the stroke of half-time when Lenny Farhall was put through down the right and he cut in to finish clinically.
After that close start, within six minutes of the second half starting, it was pretty much game over. Former Woods winger Cassius Joseph found space down the left and cut in to fire home just two minutes after coming on as a half-time substitute and then some poor defensive works led to a good finish and a third goal on 51 minutes.
Dylan Kearney was presented with a great opportunity to pull a goal back after Clark sliced an attempted clearance but a defender made a good clearance off the line and a bit later Kush Lewis-Thomas did well to find space and hit a fine shot which was pushed round the post by a diving Clark; a really top save.
Harrow had introduced Gareth Chendlik midway through the second half and he scored a tap-in for a fourth before adding his second on 82 minutes to wrap up a very comfortable 5-0 victory, winning form that the Borough will be hoping to carry on through to the start of the season.

Meanwhile, the Woods will need to rest and then work on a few things at training before their visit to Bedfont Sports next Saturday afternoon.
