The Under 18s had a real scare in this game!
Taking on mid-table side Chalfont St Peter, a poor defensive display saw the side go 0-3 down in 36 minutes, despite having plenty of possession and chances of their own in the first half.
They grabbed a lifeline shortly before half-time when top scorer Liam Finnegan finished well but they still faced a tough battle to get anything from the game when the second half began.
Royd Pullem came on as a substitute and just four minutes after the restart, he smashed home a loose ball that Finnegan had headed into his path and then, on the hour, Finnegan battled to rob a defender and squared for Michael Kelly to level things up.
There was still plenty of time to come and it was really all Northwood for that final half-hour but the Saints defended solidly and there were only a few chances with both Pullem and Brian McGovern having shots that went just wide of the target.
15-year-old James King was introduced for a debut in the final twenty minutes and did well but in the end, it was just a point from a 3-3 draw that looked unlikely during the first-half.
