The Woods accepted an invitation to fill their game-less Saturday from Bostik League South side Molesey and managed to give many of their squad players a run-out in warm conditions.
Only two of the starting eleven that had played against Hayes & Yeading started the friendly - Tommy Boxer and Arash Abdollahi - both of whom needed another good run-out to improve overall fitness.
There were two new triallists who took to the field and did okay while the likes of James Gurteen, Jamie Doolan and Kojo Gyimah all managed to get some game-time under their belts.
Borja Loeches-Teixeira started his first game of the season between the sticks and kept a clean sheet in the first half but a mistake early in the second-half presented the Moles with the opening goal.
Tom McDonnell, whose International clearance finally arrived this week and Cameron Lyttle also got minutes on the pitch in the second-half and the Woods created several chances to level the scores before succumbing to a second goal in stoppage-time.
