This midweek fixture against Spartan South Midlands League neighbours Harefield United was played on a grass pitch at Brunel University. It was the least useful of the Woods' pre-season games as a late drop-out meant that there was no goalkeeper to call upon - so Sam Whiting, Jordan Payne and Andy Caton all had spells between the sticks.

Northwood led though a fine Michael Murray strike at a corner routine but Harefield battled back to take a 2-1 victory with Ely and Ajalderaas scoring. as Woods failed to play with much style. It was interesting to see former Woods striker Kevin Chakaodza amongst the squad for the Hares.
