WOODS HIT TOWN FOR FOUR
RUISLIP TOWN 0 NORTHWOOD 4
Northwood kept their flickering Middlesex League title hopes alive on Saturday when they beat local rivals Ruislip Town 4-0 at Breakspear Road, with Martin Ellis in goalscoring form as he twice found the back of the net.
Ellis might have had a hat-trick but he wasted a penalty kick, sending it wide of the mark.
Nevertheless, it was Ellis who set up Robin Tidd for Northwood's first goal and then Dave Manley popped up in a goalmouth scramble to get the other goal.
Northwood: Currell, Heslop, J. Harman, Gould, O’Donnell, Merison, Tidd, Harvey, R. Harman, Ellis, Manley.
