WOODS HAVE IT EASY AT HAM
HAM 0  NORTHWOOD 3

Northwood made several changes for this game following their midweek defeat against North Harefield, and these paid dividends as they picked up two good Middlesex League points.

Ham hardly made Northwood work for their win, in what was the home side’s last game of the season. The Woods pushed strongly forward for much of the game, and the good work of Robin Tidd in midfield was the springboard for most of their attacks.

Northwood took advantage of Ham’s  weakness in defence when Cooper set up the inrushing Pearce to hit a fine shot past the keeper for the opening goal. Woods pushed ahead in search of further goals, but missed chances meant it wasn’t until the second half that Dibbens found the net for their second.

The Woods’ third goal was a fine individual effort by Cooper, and with more composure in front of goal they would have added to their tally.

Northwood: Kessell, Harman, Gould, Heslop, Mills, Tidd, Evans, Pearce, Roberts, Dibbens, Cooper, sub. Wilford.
