NORTHWOOD RUN RIOT IN INSPIRED SPELL
NORTHWOOD 12 STEDFAST 3
Poor conditions did not stop Northwood's attack from turning on a fantastic performance to smash lowly placed Stedfast 12-3 in their Harrow and Wembley Premier Division match.
For 20 minutes they did everything but score. Byrne even rounded the 'keeper and managed to stroke the ball past an upright, but then there was a goals avalanche.
Byrne headed in a Horsford cross, a Horsford thunderbolt rocked the net, Byrne picked his second from 15 yards, Millward scored after a fine run and cross shot, and Byrne completed a hat-trick from Sanders' flick.
In the second half Northwood went all out, and in the 52nd minute Gould headed brilliantly from a corner and Byrne scored his fourth from close in.
But in their search for goals Northwood relaxed at the back and Stedfast scored three in quick succession.
However their joy was short-lived and Northwood continued the rout with further goals from Sanders, Byrne, Gould, Horsford and Dodd.
