FOUR FOR WOOD
GIOVANOTA 1 NORTHWOOD 4
Northwood's 4-1 win over Giovanota continued their unbeaten run and took them to the top of the Premier Division of the Harrow and Wembley League.
From the kick off Northwood's rampaging forwards pushed towards Giovanota's goal. Centre forward Byrne had two headers well saved before he finally rose above the defence to head home Saunders' corner.
Soon after this Millward beat the goalkeeper with a fine low shot. Northwood still pressed and Sanders, having a good game on the right wing, rammed the ball into the net following a good run.
Minutes before half-time Millward scored his second and Northwood's fourth following a mêlée in the home goal.
Northwood were content to stroll through the second half and Giovanota pulled one back ten minutes from the end of the match.
Other results: Northwood Reserves 0 Giovanota 0; St. John Bosco 2, Northwood A 1; Northwood B Dale Rangers Reserves 1; Northwood Youth 8 South Vale 3.
