NORTHWOOD PROVE TOO STRONG

Northwood dominated from the start of this Middlesex Intermediate Cup first qualifying round tie at Northwood Recreation Ground, and proved too strong for a less talented Sparton side.
Northwood scored first through Coombes, and a second was added by Sanders almost immediately afterwards.
A lapse in defence gave Sparton their first goal just after half-time.
After surviving early pressure in the second half, Northwood added further goals through Coombs and Perry, before Sparton got their second.
Northwood will play at home to Haverlock in the next round of the competition.
