GREGORY SHINES AS A STRIKER
NORTHWOOD 3 ALVESTON 0
Northwood kept their lead at the top of the Harrow & Wembley League with a 3-0 home win against Alveston.
The attack moved impressively, although striker Paul Byrne was deputising at full-back for his injured brother.
Gregory took over as striker, and the move proved a success when in the tenth minute he hammered home a shot from 20 yards.
Within minutes Gregory scored another from the same range, but this time at a very acute angle
Alveston fought hard, but were unable to get back into the game. A late Alveston tackle brought down Coombes, and Kaufman competed the scoring from the penalty.
