Sam Tring loan ends
The successful loan of defender Sam Tring has come to an end this week after parent club Kings Langley accepted a transfer fee offer from Bostik Premier side Wingate & Finchley for his contract and he is expected to complete that transfer prior to the weekend.
20-year-old Sam originally joined the Woods back in February 2018 on loan and made a total of 31 appearances, scoring two goals. We thank Sam for his excellent service while at the club and wish him every success with his new challenges back at a higher level.
We hope we have played some useful part in his football education and we also thank Kings Langley for allowing him to stay with us for an extended period.

Northwood lose at Bedfont Sports
In a rare midweek Bostik League fixture tonight, the Woods went down to a 0-3 defeat at Bedfont Sports.
On a wet and wild night on the plastic pitch, Bedfont Sports went ahead through Charlie Postance on 36 minutes, and he added another very early in the second half, before David Pitt's 88th minute penalty wrapped up the points.
Despite a generally good performance by the Woods, it was a night of missed chances and free headers presented to the home side, and one to forget for Scott Dash and his players. However, it was Northwood's first Bostik League defeat since September. The match report is here.
Winger Max Holland has rejoined the club, having played at Potters Bar, Chalfont St Peter and, this season, Chesham United, since scoring eight goals in 48 Woods appearances in 2015-16; he made his return debut tonight as a second half substitute.

Kyran Worrell hits two as Woods win at Chipstead
For this afternoon's game at Chipstead, Northwood interim manager Scott Dash handed a first Bostik League start to Kyran Worrell, and the teenager responded with two goals as the Woods took the points with a 3-2 victory.
Worrell opened the scoring on 14 minutes when he latched onto a poor backpass to score from a tight angle. Then five minutes later Andrew Ofusu made the most of another defensive slip to net his second goal in two appearances in the red shirt.
Chipstead pulled one back following a corner a minute from the interval, but four minutes into the second period, Leigh Stevens set up Kyran Worrell to slot home and put the visitors ahead. With eight minutes left, the Surrey side grabbed a second goal to make for a tight finish, but Northwood saw out their second successive away league victory. The match report and photos are here.

A point apiece at The Acretweed Stadium
The Woods shared the Bostik League points this afternoon, when they drew 1-1 with Hertford Town at The Acretweed Stadium. But their hopes of a stoppage time winner were dashed when Conrad Lucan saw his penalty saved by the visiting keeper after Kyran Worrell had been upended.
Northwood took a 14th minute lead through debutant Andrew Ofosu, who went close to a second soon after, and Scott Dash's side continued to create chances. But in an entertaining encounter, Hertford also threatened in spells, and their equaliser came from Ruben Soares-Junior on 78 minutes. Dan Pett received the Active IT Man of the Match award.
The match report and photos are here. Match highlights and interviews with interim manager Scott Dash and goalscorer Andrew Ofosu are now on WoodsTV.

Young defender Ethan Holland, only 17 and registered with the Farnborough Academy, has also joined on dual-registration with Beaconsfield Town.

County Cup exit for Northwood
Northwood were knocked out of the Middlesex Senior Cup this evening when they went down 1-3 away to Harrow Borough in a second round tie.

Two goals for Pattie as Woods are 3-0 winners
Northwood were comfortable 3-0 Bostik League winners against Ashford Town at The Acretweed Stadium this afternoon, with Ben Pattie leading the way as he scored twice in the first half.
With assistant manager Scott Dash taking charge of the Woods squad for the first time, the home side were quickly out of the blocks, Pattie shooting home with eight minutes on the clock. And the striker added a second within a few minutes, converting a low Kweku Lucan cross from close range.
Defender Sam Tring made it 3-0 on the hour, hammering home from 20 yards after a Lucan corner was only partially cleared, wrapping up the points for a determined Northwood squad, who moved up to eighth in the Bostik League as a result. The match report and photos are here.
The Active IT Solutions Man of the Match award went to skipper Carl Pearce; Carl and Ben Pattie were interviewed for WoodsTV after the game.
