Bracknell win final game of the decade
It was the second game in three days for Northwood this afternoon, but not second time lucky, as they lost 2-0 again, this time at Bracknell Town in their last BetVictor Isthmian League fixture of the decade.
Manager Jamie Leacock made five changes from the side which went down to Chalfont St Peter on Boxing Day, with Bradley Kauzeni and Ronny Mfinda making their debuts. There was a good improvement in the Northwood performance, but a goal in each half meant that the Berkshire side took the final points of the year.
It's as you were at the foot of the South Central table, with none of the bottom five clubs collecting a point between them. The match report and photos are here.

A rain-lashed first half saw the visitors take the lead through Owen James on 36 minutes, with Daniel Williams adding a second goal in the 61st minute. The match report and photos are here.
The Woods end 2019 with a visit to Bracknell Town on Saturday, 28th December.

Woods' Team of the Decade
Twitter has spoken and over the last few days has chosen the most highly-rated players in each position on the pitch for the Woods over the last ten year period.
The only qualification to be included in the vote was at least 50 appearances and this ruled out a good proportion of those players who have turned out for Northwood over the last few years but it was a very competitive vote in most categories.

Woods are defeated at Bedfont Sports
Northwood's lack of consistency this season was demonstrated once again this afternoon when they slumped to a 1-4 BetVictor Isthmian League defeat on the artificial surface at Bedfont Sports.
The home side netted twice in each half before Tyrone Pink scored his first Woods goal with half-hour left. But that was as good as it got for Jamie Leacock's side, who remain perilously close to the South Central relegation zone. The match report and photos are here.

Northwood drawn away in Middx Senior Cup
The draw for the quarter-finals of the Middlesex Senior Cup were released today, and the Woods will play away to BetVictor Isthmian League rivals Bedfont Sports; the tie is due to be played next month.
It is the first time since 2012 that Northwood have met Bedfont Sports in the major County trophy; in December that year, Spencer Bellotti scored twice and Reece Yorke also netted in a 3-0 win for the Woods.
Ironically, the clubs meet at Bedfont in a BetVictor Isthmian League fixture this Saturday, having already played there in a Velocity Trophy tie in September, when Northwood came out 3-2 winners.
