Braverman Kitchens are Byrne Stand Sponsors
The club are delighted to announce that Braverman Kitchens are our Byrne Stand Sponsors for the upcoming season.
The local company, headed up by Charles Braverman, have kindly agreed the deal with Club Chairman, Ian Barry, who said “I’m really excited and extremely grateful that we can announce this great news and look forward to working with Charles and his company in the future.
"Charles has already supported other projects at the club, despite being relatively new here himself and he immediately recognised and showed strong interest in the community work done by the club. We are extremely grateful for his support and again, it shows fantastic belief in what we are doing here and how far we have come in a short space of time.
Charles commented: "Braverman Kitchens are delighted to offer their support to Northwood FC, a great football club steeped in local history. Northwood FC’s fantastic work with grass roots football through to the first team makes us very proud and excited to be associated with the club. We look forward to a long fruitful relationship and playing an active role in the progression of the club over the coming seasons”.

The Club is delighted to have appointed John Joyce in the important role of Northwood‘s Covid-19 Officer.

A Work of Art for stadium entrance
We are planning on making the brand new turnstile entrance to the ground even better! The red concrete wall alongside the entrance has certainly seen better days, and with your help and support we plan to make this area far more welcoming, and a great feature of your arrival at The Woods on a match day!
As such, we will commission a piece of artwork with a picture of the newly refurbished Byrne Stand for this wall, but also give you the chance to create a piece of history; you can have your face superimposed into the crowd in the stand so you (or your nominated person) will forever be a part of the NFC family.
All we ask is that you donate a minimum of £10 per person you want to appear in the crowd. Yes, it’s as simple as that! Just follow the link below to make your payment and then email your (clear and sharp) photo to NFC.enquiries@gmail.com (or send it to us via the Club Secretary) and we will do the rest.
We will take donations for this purpose until 10th September, when we will get the artwork completed but it will still leave areas (unless we sell out) for further faces to be added in the months ahead.
Be a part of your club for years to come and support The Woods through these tough times!! To donate click button below - and don't forget to email your photo as detailed above....

Spectators permitted to return to Woods games!
The Football Association has today issued updated guidelines for the National League System that include a phased and limited return of spectators for clubs at Steps 3-6 from this week.
From 22 August to 30 August, spectators are permitted to attend fixtures at Steps 3-6 of the NLS, providing that their number does not exceed 15% of the minimum ground grading capacity at these levels or respective figures set out within The FA’s updated guidelines; from 31 August, clubs will be permitted to allow spectators to attend fixtures provided that their number does not exceed 30% of the minimum ground grading capacity at their level or the respective figures set out within The FA’s updated guidelines. This means for Northwood, initially a crowd limit of 200, then a limit of 400.
Clubs must be satisfied that they have been able to comply with the Government’s guidance on the return to recreational team sport and The FA’s updated guidelines, and we at Northwood will ensure that this happens.
As a result of this good news, our pre-season friendly versus Potters Bar Town on Saturday 29th August will now be staged at The Fenton Civil Engineering Stadium, followed by a visit from neighbours Wealdstone on Tuesday 1st September.

Isthmian League maps out the scenarios for the return of football
Isthmian League Chairman Nick Robinson has today written to clubs to map out the way the plan to return to football, as soon as the Government gives the go-ahead.
In his letter, Nick explains that the FA have made a number of proposals to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport, and that these have been well received, but that the final decisions about our big kick off will need to come from central Government. Dependent on when those decisions are made, we have a number of possible scenarios, as follows:
Scenario One:
Steps 3 & 4 season starts on 19th September, finishes 8th May with Play-Offs the following week. Deadline for decision – Friday 21st August. If it is not possible to start on 19th September, 26th September is FA Trophy, so…
Scenario 2
Steps 3 & 4 season starts on 3rd October, finishes 15th May with Play-Offs the following week. Deadline for decision – Friday 4th September. If it is not possible to start on 3rd October…
Scenario 3
Steps 3 & 4 season starts on 10th October, finishing 15th May. No Play-Offs: top two clubs promoted. Deadline for decision – Friday 11th September.
Scenario 4
Steps 3 & 4 season starts on 17th October, finishing 15th May. No Play-Offs: top two clubs promoted. Deadline for decision – Friday 18th September.
Further scenarios have been laid out should a restart still not be possible; let's hope that it doesn't come to that!

Paul Masters is appointed Under 18s manager
The club are delighted to announce the appointment of former Northwood player Paul Masters as Under 18s manager.
Club Chairman Ian Barry said: "I'm pleased Paul has accepted the role as he has tremendous enthusiasm for the task, and indeed being able to get involved at the club he used to play for. We welcome him and his team on board and look forward to working with them. Whilst the appointment has taken longer than I had hoped, it was important to get the right person into the role".
Paul commented: "I'm grateful for the opportunity to coach Northwood Under 18s, and along with my assistants, we are looking forward to coaching an exciting new team. I’ve been coaching for the last 12 years on and off once I’d finished playing football. I’ve always looked out for Northwood’s results and occasionally went to watch the first team. It’s a club I played for in the mid 90’s and enjoyed my time here so much, and I’m now looking forward to coming back in this coaching role."

Woods' pre-season fixtures are finalised
The Woods’ pre-season fixture schedule has now been completed; currently in accordance with FA guidelines, all are scheduled to be played behind closed doors, although this may be subject to change at some stage. Northwood boss Rob Ursell has arranged nine friendly games, the details of which can be found here.
A number of Step 4 clubs will be required to play in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup, but the Woods are not amongst them, Ware and Harlow having being selected from Isthmian League South Central. The early round draws are expected to be released next week, the Preliminary Round taking place on Saturday 12th September.
The Isthmian League fixtures may commence on Saturday 19th September, but that is subject to spectators being permitted to attend games; otherwise any start will be further delayed. FA Cup ties could potentially be played behind closed doors, even though prize money has been reduced this season.
