Attempting to record back-to-back wins in the Isthmian Youth League for the first time since March 2015, the Woods’ defensive frailties returned once more as they conceded four against a Hampton & Richmond side that then rose above Northwood in the League table.

They got off to the worst possible start, with the visitors notching the opening goal in the first couple of minutes but then battled back well with Will Robinson scoring for the third consecutive match; 1-1 with just twelve minutes on the clock.

It stayed that way through to half-time though and the Woods were still hopeful after the break, but then the Beavers regained the lead on the hour and took the game away from our lads. Top scorer Oscar John bagged a late consolation but in the end the visitors took all three points and the Woods had conceded four goals for the fourth time in six games this season.
