An entertaining, goal-packed final pre-season friendly ended 4-3 to the Woods. Barnet started strongly, and Mat Stevens put them ahead on 15 minutes, but with the Bees looking likely to add to their score, the game was turned around on 22 minutes.

Within the space of sixty seconds, new signing Louis Stead levelled for Woods then Rob Hastings fired them ahead. But the scoring soon continued, Stevens equalising a couple of minutes later.

It was perhaps a surprise that there were no further goals before the break despite chances at both ends, but soon after the restart Jon Munday put Northwood back into the lead following a corner which keeper Haigh failed to collect cleanly.

Myles Stephenson made it 4-2 on the hour mark, and although the impressive Stevens completed his hat-trick with four minutes remaining, the Woods held on for their victory.
