Northwood made the short trip to Watford as they continued their pre-season preparations with a useful workout against Sun Sports. Manager Dean Barker utilised a 22-man squad once again with a different team for each half.

Following a bright start with Ben Pattie making an impression up front, Woods took the lead on 14 minutes through Emmanuel Melford-Rowe, who capped a jinking run with an unstoppable 25-yard strike.

Northwood continued to dominate the first period, with Kieran Asumadu-Sakyi and Chris Gosling controlling the midfield while Pattie and James Ewington were a continuous threat in attack.

Woods kept up the pressure after the restart with Paulo Montella threatening with a couple of surging runs. And it was no surprise when Ben Andreos made it 2-0 after 71 minutes  with a rasping shot following a burst into the box.

Northwood went in search of further goals with Cameron Ferguson and Ben Dufaux pulling the strings in midfield while Kyran Worrell was an increasing threat on the right flank. And it was Worrell's cross which led to a third goal on 84 minutes as Stan Anum got the final touch as defender looked to intercept.

And Woods put the icing on a good evening's work as they added a fourth from the penalty spot in the 88th minute, Andreos converting after Worrell was unceremoniously upended.
