NORTHWOOD MAKE CUP PROGRESS
NORTHWOOD 4 HAVERLOCK 1
Northwood made further progress in the Middlesex Intermediate Cup when they beat Haverlock in the second qualifying round at Northwood Recreation Ground, to the tune of 4-1.
Northwood hit two goals in two minutes in the first half, through D.P. Byrne and Gregory.
D.P. Byrne snapped up a second goal shortly after the interval, and Dodds completed the Northwood scoring.
In the final ten minutes Haverlock gained a consolation goal, and Northwood goalkeeper R. Byrne also saved a penalty.
Northwood will play away to Old Alpertonians on Saturday in the final qualifying round.
