NORTHWOOD LOSE IN EXTRA TIME
NORTHWOOD 3  VICTORIA 5

Two goals in extra time enabled Victoria to progress to the third round of the Middlesex Junior Cup on Saturday.

They were aided by own goals scored by Northwood defenders Dave Byrne and Lou Kaufman.

Throughout the first 90 minutes, play was constantly flowing from end to end, Dennis Godley, Paul Byrne and substitute Bill Rogers netting for the home side.

In extra time the tired Northwood team were on the defensive, and Victoria duly secured their hard-fought victory.

The “A” side dropped their first point of the season when they were held to a 5-5 draw by Wembley. Their scorers were Blair 2, Whitney 2, Napier.
