THREE FOR GODLEY
HARROW ST MARY 1  NORTHWOOD 4

Northwood continued their successful with a 4-1 away win against Harrow St Mary in a Harrow & Wembley League Memorial Cup game at Harrow Recreation Ground.

The visitors were strong in defence, and their forwards made the most of their chances.

Although they started a man short, Northwood soon moved into top gear, and D.P. Byrne opened the scoring, but the defences were generally on top in the first half.

Harrow pressed hard after the interval with prompting from their wing-halves, but defensive gaps were created, and Godley scored twice after good moves with Ball and Byrne to make it 2-0 for Northwood.

Godley completed his hat-trick with a well-taken goal, but Harrow snatched a consolation in the closing minutes.

Northwood: R. Byrne, D. Byrne, Brownlow, Harding, Kaufman, Jackman, Rogers,  Godley, D.P. Byrne, Ball, Gregory.
