Striker
Henry Pacquette

Henry was one of the most experienced strikers that had ever joined the Woods when he was recruited by Alan Merison in the summer of 1988 and he scored on his debut in a 3-2 victory at Southgate Athletic. He had previously played for the likes of Harrow Borough, Hendon, Boreham Wood, Wembley, Slough Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Tooting & Mitcham, Wokingham and Cheshunt but was now 31 years of age.

A model striker, H formed a tremendous partnership with Garfield Blackman and was almost ever-present for two years before joining Hertford Town in 1990. He returned following our promotion to the Isthmian League in 1992 but was plagued by injuries and, despite scoring eight league goals early in the following season, he made his last appearance in November 1993. Henry’s son Richard is now following in his footsteps on the non-League circuit having left QPR and played for a host of clubs before settling at Havant & Waterlooville.
