Rob is well known
for being the owner of local sports shop
Northolt Sports & Trophies, which was a
long-time sponsor of the club's Player of the
Month award.
He joined the Woods
in November 1991 from Yeading and went on to
finish his career with Northwood after a back
injury proved the end in 1994.
Rob's career
started at Watford and he played a handful of
Football League games for Crewe Alexandra before
dropping into non-League with clubs including
Harrow Borough, Slough Town, Dulwich Hamlet,
Southall, Hounslow, Yeading, Wokingham, Staines
and Chalfont St. Peter. While with Southall, Rob
played in the 1986 FA Challenge Vase Final at
Wembley.
After he stopped
playing, Rob managed the reserve side for a
while but is now content to watch his own sons
come through the youth structure.
