In many ways, Andy was a catalyst for our London Spartan League success, bringing that extra burst of pace that is sometimes needed as soon as he joined the club in the summer of 1989. He scored on his debut at Thamesmead and also the club’s first-ever goal in FA Cup competition that same year when we lost 3-1 to Hampton. He also was in the starting line-up for our first-ever match in the Isthmian League, at Bracknell Town, in August 1992. He left us a month or so later having totalled 135 appearances and scored 47 goals, and would later be seen playing against us a sweeper for Harefield United.
