A successful spell of ten goals in a month for the reserves earned Eddie a call-up to the first team in January 1994 and he soon made his mark, scoring four in a 6-2 Charity Cup win over Yeading.

Previously at Amersham Town, Eddie did well throughout the season but then moved up north during the summer.

He gave up football and started cycling seriously, still competing for Lichfield City Cycling Club.
