Lennie was a PT instructor with the RAF who joined the Woods in October 1993, having previously played at Lancaster City, Hungerford Town, Witney Town and Carterton as well as in Services football.

A strong left-sided defender, he only made 17 league appearances for Woods, but would later make his name at Aylesbury United during their memorable FA Cup run.
