Ray was signed by Micky Harvey midway through the 2004/05 season and had been out with injury for a while since previous spells at Leyton and Hertford Town. He had a few run-outs for the reserves and then made a couple of substitute appearances for the first-team but without ever looking quite fit enough to do himself justice. He also played under Harvey at North Greenford United, but his current whereabouts is unknown.
