An early headed goal from Liam Osborne, his first of the season, gave his side an early lead as the Woods dominated the early stages.
The visiting goalkeeper made a series of good saves to keep his side in it and Binfield did get more into the contest as the half progressed.
In the second half, Northwood stayed solid at the back and the visitors had disciplinary problems with a player sin-binned.
It wasn’t until the 75th minute that Alex Grant raced through to score a crucial second goal and the lads held on to the win.
They have now won three games in the competition without conceding a goal, to move into an away tie against Didcot Town.
