Elroy had a string of clubs behind him when he was signed during the summer of 1996 as one of several new players introduced by manager Steve Emmanuel.

It proved a very successful season, ending in promotion and Elroy played seventeen of our 32 league matches that season. He scored just three goals, not a great return for a striker and tended to do better in cup games. He moved on the following year and was later spotted playing in the Spartan South Midland League.
