Elroy joined Woods from Hillingdon Borough during the summer of 1996 as one of several new players introduced by manager Steve Emmanuel.

He had played previously at Moor Green, Sutton Coldfield, St Albans City, Tring Town and Harefield United. He moved on in 1997, and was later spotted playing in the Spartan South Midland League.
