Forward
Paul Byrne

Paul holds the record for scoring the most goals in a first team game for Northwood - seven back in 1967 - and regularly found the net during his playing career. He made a total of around 375 appearances in a Woods shirt, making his debut in a 5-0 defeat at Torrington in the Harrow & Wembley League on 27 January 1961.

Paul was club secretary for a number of years, and was player-manager when the Woods won the Middlesex League Cup (their first major trophy at that level) by beating Yeading 2-1 in 1975.

A scourge of referees during his playing days, so it was a surprise to many that Paul took up the whistle, and he still officiates regularly.
