Two Luke Maguire strikes either side of the half-time break secured the win for Egham, who are now under the management of two former Northwood assistants in Jordan Berry and Greg Phillips.
Woods began brightly, with the lively Mo Sahnoun having a shot saved by Sarnies' keeper Michael Edegbe before the same player created space for himself but dragged his shot wide from a good position.
Egham began to settle and Northwood’s triallist keeper had to be alert as he twice gathered efforts from Maguire. But the Sarnies' frontman was not to be denied as he drove a ferocious shot into the top to give his side the lead on 34 minutes.
Northwood pushed for an equaliser before the half-time break, with Shakeel Morris seeing his goalbound shot blocked after good work from Sahnoun.
Both sides made changes for the second half, but it was Egham who were quickly into their stride upon the resumption, and Maguire completed his brace with 55 minutes on the clock as he raced through to slot the ball beyond Northwood’s second triallist keeper of the evening.
Despite enjoying their fair share of possession, Woods were struggling to create any clear-cut chances, with a rasping long range effort from Ezekiel Williams which cannoned off the visitors' crossbar being the closest they came to getting on the scoresheet.
Northwood now look forward to hosting Southern Premier outfit Kings Langley as the new season draws ever closer.
