Facing the same opponents that the Woods had beaten heavily on the opening day of the season could have brought a bit of complacency into their performance and when the Lions took the lead in the very first minute of the game, that seemed possible.
Bbut in fact Northwood were soon level through Michael Kelly and they went on to dominate this game throughout much of the contest to move to the top of the East Division table.
It wasn't until 20 minutes had gone, though< that the Woods took the lead with Royd Pullem netting his first goal for the U18s.
Goals then flowed throughout the rest of the game. Luke Finnegan tucked on away from close-range before Pullem bagged his second and it was 4-1 at the break.
Six minutes into the second half, Brian McGovern scored from outside the box and then followed three more goals in fourteen minutes by Finnegan to take his personal tally to four.
It was substitute Riley Loveday that completed the scoring ten minutes from time.
An excellent warm-up for a difficult away tie in the FA Youth Cup at Southall next Monday night.
