A good crowd were highly entertained
ago as the Under 18s secured a place in the
semi-finals of the Middlesex Senior Youth Cup with a 5-4 victory over Uxbridge at the Skyline Roofing Stadium.
The visitors caused the Woods defence plenty of problems in the first half as their pacy forward line had us on the back foot. They scored twice and led by that 2-0 advantage at half-time.
Manager Ryan Young made three changes at the break and it produced an immediate effect, with Nicholas Casteluber scoring just a
minute after the restart.
But Uxbridge were not about to lie down and they restored their two-goal advantage soon afterwards, leaving Northwood with a mountain to climb. But climb it they did as Alex Grant found his form to score a hat-trick while a second for Casteluber that the Woods were suddenly 5-3 ahead.
There was a late consolation for Uxbridge but that as far as that fightback came and it was Northwood that moved into the last four where they join Bedfont Sports plus the winners of Southall v Harrow Borough and Cockfosters v Hayes & Yeading.
