In this League Cup tie, the Woods recorded a narrow 1-0 success away at Thatcham Town in the third round of the competition with Alex Grant scoring the only goal after just six minutes.
A solid defensive performance meant it was still 1-0 at the break but Thatcham did go close with a header that came back off the bar on 48 minutes.
At the other end, Liam Osborne saw his header also hit the bar while Joe Reade also went close.
The game began to get a bit scrappy but it was the Woods who squeezed into the Quarter-Final to be played at home against Binfield.
