Northwood strengthened their position at the top of the East Division of the Allied Counties Youth League when they defeated Chalfont St Peter 4-1 at the Skyline Roofing Stadium.

Amazingly, all the goals came in an action-packed first half, and it was the Saints who led the way with a very early goal rocking the Woods.

However, that didn’t last long as Londin Latifi, starting his first game of the season, levelled things up with a fine goal after just seven minutes. The same player then netted a penalty which put the Woods ahead on twenty seven minutes and by half-time it was all over.

Sarin Thapa bagged a third goal after thirty five minutes and then Latifi completed a first-half hat-trick on thirty nine minutes.

The second half proved much less of a spectacle for the viewing public but it did see the Woods look solid in defence and they also managed to get minutes into the full set of five substitutes, which included skipper Joe Reade, who has been out with injury for most of the summer. He got twenty minutes as he looks to make his comeback.
