The Woods were pleased to grab a draw from their annual friendly against Conference South neighbours Hayes after being dominated early on. Hayes took an early lead through an own-goal after Bermudan international Damon Ming and ex-Woods striker Kieran Knight had combined with the latter's driven cross being turned in by the defender.

Hayes could have been further ahead by half-time but Northwood gradually settled and then bounced back after the break. A foul on Lee Tunnell by Orlando Jeffrey enabled Dean Clark to score from the penalty-spot on 53 minutes, and then Dean Powles latched onto a half-cleared cross to fire home on the hour. Hayes levelled through Josh Scott almost immediately and both sides seemed to settle for the 2-2 draw from then on.
