Northwood Football Club is delighted to re-launch “Team Northwood”, its regular draw scheme that is all about winning money while also helping your club to raise regular funds that are essential to progress.
Northwood Football Club is unique in that it is self-contained with all sides playing out of Northwood Park while occupying its own adjacent clubhouse. It prides itself on holding FA Community Club status with the first team competing in the Southern League. Northwood Football Club runs several senior sides and a whole host of youth teams covering all age groups.
“Team Northwood” is so named as the scheme incorporates all sections of Northwood Football Club and is aimed at everyone willing to play their part in developing a “One Club” approach. Revenue from the scheme will be ploughed back into all areas of the football club and you will have the chance to say what happens with any surplus funds raised in this manner.
For just £5 per week (payable monthly - £21.67 - by Standing Order) you will be entered into around 40 draws a year. Once set up, the money should be withdrawn from your bank account on the 1st day of each month so you do not need to worry about having to be at the Club to pay each month.
How many entries can I buy?
Each entry costs £21.67 per month and you can buy as many as you like. The more you buy the more chance you have of winning but we only expect most people to buy one entry.
Can anyone join?
Absolutely! We encourage and welcome all newcomers, not just club members. Spread the word and try to get others involved. If you join as parents, perhaps the grandparents would like to join too!! Should numbers exceed expectations and increase significantly, we pledge to increase the prize funds.
Are there regular draws?
Yes, very much so. During the season, draws will be made in the clubhouse timed with either Northwood home games on Saturdays or after youth matches on Sundays, whichever proves most popular with our participants. Also, if you are there when the draws are made and you win, there will be an extra bonus cash prize for you.
What number will I be?
The allocation of numbers will be made randomly and you will be informed of your number as soon as you join.
How will I know when the draws are made? How will I know if I’ve won?
All draw dates and times will be advertised a month in advance on the club's website at http://www.northwoodfc.com/, in the match-day programme (during the season) and in the clubhouse on notice boards. Furthermore, if we hold your e-mail address we will circulate a monthly update on all things “Team Northwood” included in a regular newsletter.
Winners can claim their money as soon as the draw is completed. If you are not present a cheque will be sent in the post within seven days. All winning numbers will be posted via the same outlets as the draw dates.
What can I win?
There is a host of draws that you will be entered for. At this early stage, these are expected to include:
v £50 draws every two weeks
v £500 draws twice a year
v FA Cup Final draws (worth a total of£200)
v £100 Grand National Draw
v £100 end of season draw at Northwood’s final home game
v £100 “wooden spoon” draws twice a year for those who have yet to win
v £100 Champions League Final draw
v £100 draw twice a year which will go to the winners nominated charity
There will also be sporadic draws for big sporting events and at quarterly club social events. For example, in 2013 there will be an “Ashes draw”. In 2014, a “World Cup” draw.
