The Woods came back from Southern League
Midland Division side Woodford United with a 3-1 victory.
Colin Payne had just fourteen players to
choose from as he had eight players injured and four others on
holiday.
Woodford took the lead midway through the
first-half, but the Woods were level within a minute when Dean Clark
tucked away a penalty after Lee Tunnell's surging run was ended by a
trip in the box.
The second-half saw the Woods dominate,
and an excellent strike from Clark put them in front. Then Carl Hunt
cut inside a defender only to be brought down and Clark completed his
hat-trick from a second penalty.
Players out injured were Liam Watson,
Steve Walters, Ricky Alexander, Shayne Demetrious, Leon Callender,
James Hamsher, Shane O'Neill and Kyle Matthews, whilst Dave Nolan,
Jack Lisi, Aaron Coldman and Peter Dean were all away on holiday.
