Capital Woods crash
The Woods' second string crashed to a 6-2 defeat at Harrow Borough in a
Capital League fixture last night, Jamie Tompkins and Andrew Harewood
getting their goals. |

Under 18s back on top
Northwood's Under 18s went back to the top of the Allied Counties Youth
League last night following their 2-1 home win against North Greenford
United.
Chris Michael gave Woods a 44th minute lead,
and Luke Aldridge made it two on 80 minutes. North Greenford pulled one back
with a stoppage-time spot-kick. |

Allieds face Hayes in
semi-final
The Woods' Under 18s will have to beat main Allied Counties title rivals
Hayes & Yeading United if they are to progress to the Final of the League
Cup, after the two clubs were drawn together in the semi-finals yesterday.
The game will take place at Chestnut Avenue next Monday, 14th April, at 7.45p.m.
The other semi-final will see Maidenhead United take on the winners of the
Colney Heath v Burnham quarter-final, which was abandoned when they first
played and will be replayed on the same night at the Woods take on United.

Northwood take a
point
The Woods took a point from a 1-1 draw at play-off hopefuls Maldon Town this
afternoon, as their improved form continued. Colin Payne gave Gary Edwards
his first Ryman League start due to injury ruling out Ryan Tackley, whilst
Matt Baxter and Rodney Hicks were given the nod in favour of Jerome Hall and
Abdul Yoki, both of whom were on the bench.
In
a generally even game, Sean Sonner coolly gave Northwood a 23rd minute lead
from the penalty spot after the referee spotted a handling offence, but Matt
Cutchey equalised five minutes before the break. |
Under 18s go top
Northwood went top of the Allied Counties League Premier Division last night
after they completed the double over champions and previous leaders Hayes &
Yeading.
Skipper Nick Glenday gave Woods the lead three minutes before the break, and
Aryan Taj put them two up in the 68th minute. Although Hayes pulled one back
late on, Northwood held on to claim the points with an excellent result
following the disappointment at Chesham two days earlier. |
Woods make it five out
of six
Northwood chalked up their fifth win in six outings last night, when a
solitary goal from Sean Sonner decided the points in the Woods' favour,
running out 1-0 winners over Wingate & Finchley. Manager Colin Payne
commented afterwards: "It wasn't the best of performances, but the lads kept
battling throughout, and I felt that we did deserve the points." |
Allieds are beaten
The
Woods' Under 18s were beaten 4-2 at Chesham United in an Allied Counties
League outing this evening. They went a goal down in the first minute but
equalised when Aryan Taj scored direct from a corner. Chesham then stormed
forward and grabbed two goals before half-time, the second with a suspicion
of offside.
After the break, the Woods tried to get back into the game and reduced the
arrears when Taj added his second from the penalty-spot. They pushed for the
equaliser but were hit by a sucker punch in the 89th minute when Chesham
wrapped up a deserved win.
Northwood will need to regroup before Wednesday
night's top-of-the-table clash against Hayes & Yeading United. |
Two on the move
Woods manager Colin Payne has this week released two of his squad.
Goalkeeper Ben Harris has been transferred to Harrow Borough, whilst Enfield
Town have snapped up Manny Sackey.
Both players made a handful of Northwood
appearances, and we wish them all the best with their new clubs. |
Woods edge out Ware
Sean Sonner's 94th minute goal won this afternoon's thrilling Ryman One
North encounter with play-off chasing Ware at Chestnut Avenue. Despite the
poor conditions, this was one of the best games seen at Northwood Park this
season, in which the Herts outfit took a 54th minute lead. Sonner levelled
with 16 minutes left on the clock, then he headed a late winner after a
superb run by Michael Gordon down the right flank. |
Reserves are beaten
Woods' second string went down 4-2 at Croydon Athletic in a Capital League
fixture last night. They trailed by three goals at the break, and although
they performed better in the second half, netting through Jack Bennett and
Andrew Harewood, but it wasn't enough to avoid defeat. |
Allieds in narrow cup
win
A
second half headed goal from Jake O'Meara gave Northwood's under 18s a 1-0
win at Kidlington in the quarter-final of the Allied Counties League Cup
last night. |
Woods slump at Edgware
Northwood slumped to a solitary goal defeat in the local derby at Edgware
Town this afternoon, producing a very disappointing performance after
Saturday's five-goal display. In a dour game, there were few attempts on
goal from either side, but unfortunately the Wares scored a 12th minute
winner from one. |
Brentwood hit for
five
Recent signing Sean Sonner hit a superb hat-trick as Northwood hit five
without reply against play-off chasing Brentwood Town at Chestnut Avenue
yesterday. John Christian also netted for the Woods, whilst Town keeper Marc
Palmer was credited with an own goal for the other score.
The Essex side displayed plenty of attacking enterprise, which was repelled
strongly by a home defence in which Lee Holland and Mitch Swain were
outstanding, and Woods gained full revenge for a heavy early-season defeat
at Brentwood. |
Allieds take narrow win
Northwood's Under 18s gained a 2-1 win over Oxford City in an Allied
Counties League Premier Division fixture at Chestnut Avenue last night, to
confirm their current second place in the table, whilst leaders Hayes &
Yeading were beaten.
Courtney Francis and Will Hudson were the young Woods' scorers. |

Woods see off Bury in
thriller
On-loan striker Matt Baxter hit a hat-trick - and saw a penalty saved - as
Northwood narrowly came out on top, 4-3, in an entertaining Ryman One North
clash with Bury Town last night.
The Woods raced into a two-goal lead, but were pulled back to level pegging
before Ryan Tackley put them 3-2 up just before the half-time whistle.
Baxter completed his hat-trick midway through the second half, only for Bury
to get a goal back with eleven minutes remaining - resulting in a
nail-biting finale to a game which left both managers pulling their hair out
at their teams' defending. But a great match for the spectators!! |
Northwood hit three at
Wivenhoe
Two goals shortly before the half-time interval put the Woods on the road to
a 3-0 Ryman One North win at struggling Wivenhoe Town this afternoon. The
Essex side pushed strongly in the opening ten minutes, but Northwood
weathered the storm, and pulled themselves back into the game, led by the
impressive Sean Sonner in attack.
Abdul Yoki headed Woods ahead on 38 minutes, and on-loan Matt Baxter made it
two from close range on the stroke of half-time. Danny Murphy wrapped up the
points with a long-range 62nd minute effort. |
Woods add midfielder to
squad
Northwood manager Colin Payne added to his squad on Friday with the signing
of Rodney Hicks. A 21-year-old central midfielder, Hicks started as a youngster at
Bolton, before playing for Wealdstone, Kings Lynn, Peterborough United,
Cheshunt, and most recently, Halesowen Town. |

Woods win County Youth
Cup
Congratulations to our Allied Counties management team Phil Hatcher and Jez
Reilly and their players, who this evening won the Jeff Ritson Middlesex
County Youth Cup for the first time when they beat Hillingdon Borough 3-1 in
the Final at North Greenford United FC.
Jack Bennett gave Northwood a fifth minute lead, but Borough levelled midway
through the first half, so the teams were level at the break. Aryan Taj put
Woods 2-1 ahead in the 58th minute, then Jamie Tomkins' goal confirmed that
the trophy was coming to Northwood Park. Well done to the whole squad!!
Chairman Ian Barry commented: "My personal congratulations go to the Under
18s who won the County Cup on Wednesday night. This was without doubt a
magnificent achievement and keeps them on course for a League and Cup
double. Sadly, I could not be at the game as I was at the home of football
(?!) to see Derby demolished, but I hear that the lads turned in a great
second half performance. It is hoped that a few of these stars will progress
within the club and ultimately play in the 1st team, as others have done in
the past.” |

Under 11s manager/coach
required
Northwood Football Club is looking for a manager / coach for one of its
Under 11 teams for next season. The team will play in the Watford Friendly
League.
The club is looking for a person who will carry out one training session per
week and run the team on a match day. Ideally the manager should have a
Level 1 qualification, but the club will put the right person on the FA
coaching courses to achieve at least this minimum standard.
Please contact Steve Williams on 020 8428 1533 or 07970 237104 if you are
interested in taking this age group within this FA Community Club, which is
aligned to the senior side.

Potters Bar take point
The Woods were held to a 1-1 draw by Potters Bar Town in a disappointing
Ryman One North game at Chestnut Avenue yesterday. Northwood's new signing
from Harefield United, Sean Sonner looked lively and was unlucky to see his
header cleared off the line. The home side took a 41st minute lead through
John Christian, but Junior Dadson levelled for Potters Bar eleven minutes
after the restart. |
Woods sign striker
Northwood manager Colin Payne has added to his striking options with the
signing of former England Under 18 Schoolboy international Sean Sonner from
Harefield United. The 21-year-old is amongst the Spartan South Midlands
League's leading goalscorers this season, with 31 in league and cups - and
he netted against the Woods in the Middlesex Charity Cup tie in November, as
well as twice in a friendly last July.
Colin Payne said: "Sean is an exciting player, who I am sure will do well in
our side - and will score goals." Sonner is expected to make his debut
against Potters Bar tomorrow. |
Capital defeat
A
second game within three days proved too much for Northwood's young reserve
side this evening, as they crashed to a 4-1 defeat against Staines Town at
Wheatsheaf Park.
But they started well enough, and Rico Grimm - whom Woods gave just signed
from Staines - put them ahead, a lead they maintained until the break.
However, four second half goals gave the home side a comfortable victory in
the final analysis. |
Reserves take a point
Goals from Andrew Harewood and Laurie Walters gave
Northwood's second string a point from a 2-2 draw in last night's Capital
League game at Boreham Wood.
Woods now lead the table by four points, although closest rivals Dulwich
hamlet have played two games less.
Mark Barnham's side are in action again on Thursday evening, when they play
at Staines Town, kick-off 7.30 p.m. |
Woods see off Wingate
The Woods collected all three points from this afternoon's Ryman One North
trip to Wingate & Finchley, Michael Gordon taking advantage of a slip in the
home defence to fire home just before the half-time whistle.
On
a wild, windswept afternoon, the poor general quality of the play from both
sides was only exceeded by the poor quality of the refereeing! |
New faces brought in
In
the light of several injuries, Woods manager Colin Payne has brought in some
new players ahead of tomorrow's visit to Wingate & Finchley. Diminutive
striker Prince Toku, who impressed in the reserves on Wednesday, has joined
from Harrow Borough, and defender Manny Sackey has been transferred from
Waltham Forest, having captained Hayes reserves last season. Other new faces
are tall front man Rico Grimm, signed from Staines and has also played for
Slough this season, whilst reserves player Danny Power has signed Ryman
League forms. |
Capital victory
Northwood went three points clear at the top of the Capital League after
defeating reigning champions and nearest rivals Dulwich Hamlet 1-0 at
Chestnut Avenue last night.
The Woods dominated much of the play, but the winner didn't arrive until the
85th minute, when two substitutes combined to create the goal: some good
work from Laurie Walters was completed by Andrew Harewood's finish. |
Allieds progress...just
Northwood's under 18s progressed to the quarter-finals of the Allied
Counties League Cup last night when an 85th minute Nick Glenday winner
clinched a 3-2 victory over South Division leaders Wokingham & Emmbrook.
Aiden Lynam gave Woods an 28th minute lead and Arjan Taj made it 2-0 three
minutes later. But the Woods quickly conceded two goals, in the 33rd and
36th minutes, and were struggling to win a hard-fought tie until Glenday
popped up with the winner with extra time looming. |
Title-chasers
steal the points
Northwood slipped to only their second home defeat since August yesterday
when title-chasing AFC Sudbury stole the points with a 1-0 victory that they
scarcely deserved. The Woods looked the better side overall, but some
excellent goalkeeping combined with poor finishing cost them dearly, and the
solitary goal from the Suffolk side, scored early in the second period, left
them pointless. But they could look back on a generally good
performance...except in front of goal! |
Under 18s hit three
The Woods' Under 18s chalked up a convincing 3-0 victory at home to
Kidlington last night in an Allied Counties League Premier Division fixture.
Courtney Francis gave the young Woods a fifth minute lead, and Elliott Gibbs
made it 2-0 on sixteen minutes. Ollie Wright's 55th minute goal wrapped up
the points for Northwood.
The reserves went top of the Capital League last night - without playing a
game! - as a result of Dulwich Hamlet's defeat by Staines. |
Woods go out of County
Cup
Northwood's hold on the Middlesex Senior Cup ended last night when Hendon
gained an flattering 3-0 win in the semi-final tie at Chestnut Avenue. The
Ryman Premier side took a ninth minute lead, but Woods scorned the chance to
level seven minutes later when Ryan Tackley had his penalty saved.
Hendon netted two further goals late in the game to clinch a place in the
final, where they will face Hampton & Richmond Borough. |
Woods take point at
Aveley
On-loan striker Matt Baxter made his Northwood debut this afternoon, but he
was unable to find the net as his temporary new club took a point at Aveley
in a dour goal-less draw.
However, that extended the Woods' recent good run, which has seen just one
defeat in the last fifteen outings. |

Squad changes for
Northwood
The Woods' squad has this week been depleted by the departure
of defender James Fisher (pictured) to Blue Square South side St Albans City. The young
right-back has been playing well since joining from lowly Ruislip Manor and
has also filled in both centrally and at left-back during recent injury
problems. He scored the equalising goal against Waltham Abbey last weekend,
his second goal of his short spell.
St. Albans are struggling near the foot of their division and looking to
avoid relegation for the second successive season under their third manager
of the campaign. We wish James well at his new club.
With Adrian Abramian starting a massive 35-day suspension for a hard to
believe sending-off while playing Sunday football, Colin Payne has had to
move to secure a replacement. 19-year-old striker Matt Baxter has joined the
club on a month's loan from Ryman Premier side Ashford Town and comes
straight into the squad at Aveley. Matt has been a prolific goalscorer at
youth and reserve team levels with Ashford but lost his place in the
first-team at the start of the season through injury and has been unable to
break back into a winning team despite scoring four goals in the past week
for the reserve side. On Wednesday night he netted both goals in a 2-1
victory at Harrow Borough as the Tangerines got through to the final of the
Middlesex Premier Cup.

Ian Barry on Wealdstone
departure
In
his website notes today, Chairman Ian Barry comments on the concerns that
certain people have about the club's future financial viability following
the departure - as always expected - of Wealdstone F.C. from Northwood Park
at the end of the season. |

Under 18s share points
Northwood's Allied Counties side were held to a 3-3 draw at Reading Town
this evening. They were cruising and 3-0 up before half-time with goals from
Nick Glenday, Aiden Lynam and Elliott Gibbs but then lost Sam Holland to a
serious injury, which looks like a double-break of the leg.
Reading hit back with two goals in the second-half and then scored an
equaliser with thirty seconds left.
We
wish Sam all the best for as speedy a recovery as possible. |
Woods draw with Abbey
Northwood were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Waltham Abbey this afternoon.
Despite hitting the woodwork on three occasions, the Woods had to share the
points: Marc Sontag gave Abbey a fortuitous 13th minute lead, and James
Fisher levelled just before the break - but there was to be no further
scoring. |

Capital League fixture tonight.
Aryan Taj, Hugo Figueiredo and Danny Brown were the Northwood marksmen. |

Northwood back to
winning ways
After slumping to their first defeat in twelve games at the weekend, the
Woods resumed their winning ways with a 2-1 win at Potters Bar Town in
windswept conditions last night. It certainly wasn't the best of
performances, but Northwood just about deserved the points. New signing Phil
Turner - on dual registration with Chesham United - gave Woods a 10th minute
lead, and the home side levelled a few minutes before the break.
Dwane Williams netted the winner in the 68th minute with a long-range effort
that the Bar keeper probably should have kept out – but it was enough to
earn three more points. |
Woods' unbeaten run ends
Northwood's ten-match unbeaten run came to an end at Dartford's Princes Park
this afternoon. Despite taking the lead twice, through Abdul Yoki and Adrian
Abramian, the Woods were finally defeated by the aerial bombardment tactics
of the Ryman One North leaders. |
Elliott on the move
The Woods' exciting young striker Elliott Buchanan yesterday moved to
leading Conference side Stevenage Borough, signing a two-year contract with
the Hertfordshire outfit who are chasing promotion to the Football League.
Borough manager Peter Taylor, the former England boss, moved quickly to sign
Elliott after seeing him in training earlier in the week.
Although Elliott had - despite repeated efforts by club officials - declined
to sign a contract with Northwood, Stevenage have given the Woods a sell-on
agreement in the event of a future big-money transfer, and Peter Taylor will
bring his side for a friendly at Chestnut Avenue at the start of next
season.
Northwood chairman Ian Barry said: "Although we are naturally sorry to see
him go, this is a good move for Elliott, who I am sure has a great career
ahead of him, and we wish him well. I am also grateful to Stevenage for
playing fair with us, after we have developed Elliott through our youth and
reserve sides into the senior team.
"More news about the transfer and how it came
about will be reported on this site early next week. We are currently only
concentrating on our important league fixture against Dartford tomorrow. In
the meantime, everyone can be fully assured that the club did everything in
its power to make sure the move was in everyone’s interests, which it
certainly has been. It has been a long week and speculation about Elliott
has been building for some considerable time now: there has been many
conversations over the last few weeks and overall the deal was the best we
could have hoped for in the circumstances." |

Fixtures re-arrangement
Northwood's home game against Wingate & Finchley, scheduled for Tuesday 12th
February, has been postponed as the North London outfit now have a London
Senior Cup tie, which takes precedence, that evening. It
is anticipated that the fixture will now be played on Tuesday 1st April, and
this will be confirmed shortly.
The home fixture against Suffolk outfit Bury Town has been fixed for Tuesday
18th March, kick-off 7.45 p.m. |

Under 18s reach County
final
Congratulations to Woods' Under
18s, who this evening reached the final of the Middlesex County FA Senior
Youth Cup with an impressive 4-1 win over Edgware Town at Chestnut Avenue.
There was a flurry of goals at the
start of the tie, with Tyrone Durrant giving Northwood a first minute lead
and Nick Glenday making it 2-0 after three minutes - only for the visitors
to pull one back with just six minutes on the clock. Jack Bennett gave Woods
a 3-1 advantage on 43 minutes, and after they hit the bar in the second
half, Durrant netted his second to wrap up the tie with ten minutes
remaining.
Northwood will meet
Hillingdon Borough in the final at North Greenford United F.C. on Wednesday 12th March. |

Woods see off
Witham
Second half goals from Danny
Murphy and Jerome Hall gave Northwood a richly-deserved victory at Chestnut
Avenue over Witham Town this afternoon, to make it eleven games without
defeat.
Woods' keeper Mitch Swain made a
penalty save - his third in four spot-kicks he has faced - when the home
side led 1-0, but visiting custodian Stuart Crumpen had a blinder, pulling
off a string of outstanding stops throughout the game. |

Northwood progress in Senior Cup
The Woods moved into the semi-final of the Middlesex Senior Cup this evening
with an excellent 3-1 over Edgware Town at the White Lion Ground.
Abdul Yoki put Northwood ahead in the sixth minute and Elliott Buchanan made
it two on the half-hour mark. Edgware pulled one back in the 84th minute,
but Elliott made the game safe on 89 minutes.
In
the semi-final Northwood will play hosts to Hendon, who won their
quarter-final tie 3-2 at Staines Town this evening. |

Mitch loan extended
The club are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Mitch Swain has signed a
long-term loan deal from tenants Wealdstone which takes him to the end of
the season.
Mitch has been in outstanding form since starting his loan in October, and
although he has missed the last two games through injury, he should be fit
to return to action in next Saturday's home game against Witham Town. |

Woods see off Tilbury
After a slow first half
performance at Tilbury this afternoon, goals after the break from Adrian
Abramian and Michael Gordon earned Northwood the three Ryman One North
points, and extended their unbeaten run to nine matches.
The skill and pace shown in the
second period might easily have been rewarded with more goals for the Woods,
but manager Colin Payne was happy with the result on a difficult surface. |

Following a referee's inspection, tonight's Ryman One North fixture against
Bury Town has been postponed as the Chestnut Avenue pitch is waterlogged.

Woods share six goals
An exciting action-packed game at Chestnut Avenue this afternoon saw the
points shared in a six-goal thriller against Arlesey Town.
Woods edged the play overall, and inexplicably
were denied a penalty for a blatant handball, but they had to settle for a
3-3 draw.
Elliott Buchanan, Jerome Hall and Bradley
Hewitt were on the mark for the Woods. |

Allieds game off

Northwood win at
Wakering
The Woods chalked up an excellent 3-2 victory away to Great Wakering Rovers
this evening, to extend their unbeaten run to seven matches.
Great Wakering took a
14th minute lead, but Woods led 2-1 at the break thanks to goals from
Elliott Buchanan on 38 and 45 minutes. Elliott competed his hat-trick
sixteen minutes into the second period, and although the home side pulled
one back in the 74th minute, Colin Payne's side clinched the three points. |

Old-boys lose cup-tie
Northwood's old-boys went out of the Isthmian Veterans Cup last night when
they lost 3-0 at Metropolitan Police in a quarter-final tie.
The damage was done when the Police scored two early goals, and they wrapped
things up with a third in the closing seconds of the game.

Woods share points again
Northwood drew their fourth game
in a row this afternoon when they came away from Ilford's Cricklefields
Stadium with a 2-2 draw. But the Woods gave a sub-standard performance, even
allowing for the poor playing surface.
The home side took the lead, only
for Elliott Buchanan to level for the Woods. And when the top scorer netted
again with ten minutes remaining it looked although the points would be
leaving with Northwood - until Ilford equalised with just a couple of
minutes to go. |

Enfield draw for Woods
It took a 93rd minute equaliser
from James Fisher to earn it, but Northwood gained a deserved 2-2 draw at
promotion-chasing Enfield Town this afternoon.
Fit-again Jerome Hall gave Woods a
sixth minute lead, but Enfield were awarded - and converted - a very dubious
penalty on 14 minutes when the ball clearly struck Adam Theo's chest and not
arm. The home side went ahead just before the interval, but Fisher's goal
won the visitors a merited point. |
Two new signings
Manager Colin Payne
brought two new players into the squad for today's game at Enfield Town. Michael Gordon
(pictured) and Dwain Williams
(different spelling!), both of whom have played for Harrow Borough and Hemel
Hempstead this season, signed in time to be available for the match.
Michael is an experienced player,
having made 22 first team appearances for MK Dons and also played Conference
football for Aldershot and Crawley.

Boxing
Day draw
The Woods' Boxing Day clash with
Edgware Town ended in a goal-less draw at Chestnut Avenue. In an
entertaining encounter in which neither side could manage a breakthrough, a
share of the spoils was a fair result.

Woods take a point at
Canvey
A late Bradley Hewitt equaliser
earned Northwood a point from a hard-fought Ryman One North encounter at
Canvey Island's Park Lane this afternoon.
Woods had hit the woodwork in the
first half, but they were up against it when the home side took an 83rd
minute lead. However, Northwood's newest contract man popped up with the
leveller to bring the club some Christmas cheer. |

One loan extended...
Colin Payne was delighted to extend the loan of goalkeeper Mitch Swain into
a third month from tenants Wealdstone. The 20-year-old has played a major
part in the Woods turnaround in form since making his debut at Sittingbourne
in the FA Trophy, during which time there have been seven victories in his
twelve appearances.
However, the loan of winger Danny Hart from Barnet has come to an end after
two months after he was injured playing for the Bees in a Herts Senior Cup
match at Stevenage Borough on Wednesday night.
Two players have also been registered on Ryman League forms this week. Tall,
25-year-old striker Warren Coborne played for the Capital League side on
Wednesday night and has previous experience with Bristol Rovers, Egham Town,
Walton Casuals, Flackwell Heath, Fleet Town, Bisley Sports, Farnborough Town
and, latterly, Guildford City.
Also, a familiar name in midfielder Danny Julienne has signed having been
dogged by a foot injury all season. Neither are expected to be fit enough to
be included in tomorrow's squad for the trip to Canvey Island. |

Bradley signs up
The Woods were given a boost this
week when nineteen-year-old defender Bradley Hewitt committed his immediate
future to the club by signing a contract which runs at least until 2009.
The tall central defender, who
joined from Boreham Wood in October last year, has performed consistently
well this season, and the contract is testament to his progress in his time
at Northwood.
Chairman Ian Barry commented: "This
is great news and what made it more pleasing was that the signing took place
shortly after he had scored a goal and we kept a clean sheet against Waltham
Forest; our first shut-out of the season.
"We are also in discussions currently with a few other players about signing
contracts with the club." |

Simieon moves on
Following the receipt of the statutory seven days' notice, Simieon Howell
has announced that he is joining Jermaine Hamilton at Fleet Town. The
Southern League South & West outfit are closer to Simieon's home, and since
he started a new job he has found it difficult to attend training at
Northwood. The midfielder has been a regular in the Woods' side this season,
but manager Colin Payne has already brought in John Christian to fill the
gap in the squad. |
